Missouri's scene has two ends and a lake in the middle. Kansas City and St. Louis sit roughly 250 miles apart on I-70, each with its own clubs and its own crowd, and Lake of the Ozarks, a few hours south of both, is where the two tend to meet in summer.
Kansas City has the state's longest running on-premise options. The SPOTT, on Television Place on the east side, opens every Saturday night until 5 a.m. with a heated pool, a deck with cabanas, a dance floor with poles and private lounges. The Fantasy Lounge is a members club with an approval process and an upscale dress code: collared shirts and clean jeans for men, cocktail dresses or dressy tops for women, no athletic wear. St. Louis works more through events. Lifeinstyle STL, running since 2016, holds meet and greets at bars in Soulard and hotel takeovers for Halloween, New Year's Eve and Valentine's weekend, and every guest needs an approved account first. Sultry Sarah's Social Club on North Broadway is a membership club with Saturday parties, and Shameless Grounds, a sex positive cafe in Benton Park, hosts an ENM social night with no play on the premises.
Farther south, the Lake draws the biggest weekends. Lifeinstyle's National Swingers Weekend is held there each July, and the Missouri Lifestyles Club has held monthly ballroom parties at a Lake resort hotel. Springfield has a newer party club, The Slippery Pineapple, that posts dates to RSVP guests.
