Houston alone has more on-premise lifestyle clubs than most states. The Pendulum Club runs three locations there, and The Night Game, XCLUSIV Lifestyle and colette Houston fill out the weekend, several of them along FM 1960 on the north side. Nearly all are membership clubs where you can join at the door with a photo ID, and most are BYOB: you bring the bottle, the club supplies ice, cups and mixers.
Dallas-Fort Worth is the other big cluster. colette Dallas is in northwest Dallas, Club Eden fills a 14,000 square foot building in Euless between the two cities, and Summer's Home for Wayward Swingers throws themed parties in the Design District and in Austin. Group in Keller TX, which calls itself the longest continuously running lifestyle group in North Texas, now puts much of its calendar into cruises and resort takeovers. San Antonio has its own Club Eden and colette, and colette also has a club in north Austin.
Texas has something most states lack: rural clothing-optional resorts with a lifestyle side. Live Oak Resort in Washington, between Houston and Austin, and Barehide Ranch near Poolville, northwest of Fort Worth, both have cabins or RV sites, so you can stay the night instead of driving home at 3 a.m. The Krewe of Swingtown, a Houston group holding lifestyle Mardi Gras parties since 2005, moves around the state with river trips and Renaissance Festival weekends. Out west the map thins. El Paso has Quiet Encounters Phase II on Montana Avenue, and Lubbock has Tin Boxxx, which opens only for scheduled events.
